Hold On, Help Is On the Way
Sunday · Pastor Franklyn Ruth · Psalm 121
We walked through the old familiar words of Psalm 121 and remembered that our help comes from the Lord, the One who never slumbers nor sleeps. Whatever we carried into church that Sunday morning, the Word reminded us that we do not have to carry it alone.

Grace That Runs to Meet You
Sunday · Pastor Franklyn Ruth · Luke 15
From the parable of the lost son, we saw a Father who does not stand at the edge of the road with folded arms, but runs down it to meet us. Nobody is so far gone that grace cannot find them and bring them home.

A Table in the Wilderness
Sunday · Pastor Franklyn Ruth · Psalm 23
We dwelt on the Good Shepherd who sets a table for His sheep right in the presence of their enemies. Even in a hard season, the Lord spreads a place for you and invites you to sit down and be fed.

Fear Not, for I Am with Thee
Sunday · Pastor Franklyn Ruth · Isaiah 41
The Lord speaks plainly to a fearful people and tells them not to be afraid, because He is with them and will hold them up with His righteous right hand. We were reminded that courage is not the absence of trouble, but the presence of God in the middle of it.

An Anchor for the Soul
Sunday · Pastor Franklyn Ruth · Hebrews 6
We looked at hope as an anchor, sure and steadfast, holding us fast when the winds blow and the waves rise. Our hope is not in better circumstances but in a faithful God who cannot lie.

Come and See What the Lord Has Done
Sunday · Pastor Franklyn Ruth · Psalm 66
We were called to remember and to tell — to look back over what God has done in our own lives and in this church, and then to say it out loud. Testimony is one of the ways faith gets passed from one hand to the next.
Every sermon plays right on the church’s channel, @canaanbaptistofsheldon on YouTube. The full list also lives on the Sermons page.
Step three
Giving
An offering is an act of worship, and it is one of the plainest joys of the Christian life. Every gift to Canaan goes toward the preaching of God's Word, the care of the church family, and the missionary work we support beyond these walls.
Give in person at any Sunday service, or give online from wherever you are. A gift can be a one-time offering or set to repeat each month — whichever suits you. Thank you for giving cheerfully.
The church’s Give page has more on what your giving supports.
“Every man according as he purposeth in his heart, so let him give; not grudgingly, or of necessity: for God loveth a cheerful giver.”
2 Corinthians 9:7
Step four
Learn Technology
The Technology Ministry makes simple, friendly guides to help people find their way around phones, computers, streaming and everything in between. No question is too basic, and nothing here assumes you already know.
Every guide the church shares is posted here with its own picture and title. Take whatever is useful to you, share it with somebody who needs it, and check back — more are always being made.
